Janice Rosenfeld
An award winning artist, Janice is an eclectic and visionary, impressionistic painter. Her work reflecting a life long love affair with nature and the esoteric. Seldom painting from a scene directly, rather she allows the images to coalesce, creating kaleidoscopic forms within the mind. Only then, perhaps days later will she being to paint. The results often times, even to the artist herself, are to say the least, surprising. At times mind expanding. The canvas apparently birthing from within, creating barely evident phantasms of face and form; providing both the artist and the viewer with unexpected levels of perception and mystery.
Janice is presently working on a novel set in twelfth century France; as well as indulging her ever present passion for paint and canvas.
In addition to being an artist, she is an award winning poet. A holistic healer, metaphysician and occasional soloist.

Rocky Maine Coastline
A former stain glass artist of some renown, her use of color is reminiscent of multi layered reflections of light. Light and color not always perceived by the naked eye, yet a kaleidoscope somehow made visible through the artist pallet. The medium chosen usually pastel and acrylics, layered with a variety of glosses to create a more luminous effect. The pastels themselves at times, creating a mist of ethereal form. A collage, a juxtaposition, of nature in myriad vision, left to be interpreted by the heart and soul of the viewer.
Janice is a self taught artist. Painting for as long as she can remember. After a traumatic accident, unable to pursue a glass career, and unable to paint, she began in visioning the process of painting. Step by step, she created canvasses within the minds eye. For close to 5 years, she engaged her creative passions in this way. One day a fellow artist encouraged her to come to her studio to paint. To everyone’s delight and surprise, not only was she able to paint, her ability had been enhanced through years of simply, “mind painting.”
The artist has had shows in NY, CT, NC and Maine. Recently adding impressionist pet portraiture to her repertoire.
