Gerald Cloud
My artistic goal is to combine art history, fantasy and surrealism/humor into evocative messages that are accessable and stimulating to the viewer. In my work I have always utilized art historic reverences in art. I enjoy combining contemporary themes with visual “clues” that are essentially personal stories and narratives. I extensively employ drawing techniciques combined with acrylics and other media to bring my compositions to fruition. My long-term experiences as an arts educator has further impressed upon me the great importance of the viewer’s innate perception and essential role in the artistic process.
